Travel Review: Family Vacation in Italy, Rome, Naples, Sorrento, Positano, Tuscany, Cortona, Vatican, Colosseum, Food Tour

These travel agents organized an incredible eight days for our family of four in early July.  We arranged our own flights and time in London and Tuscany prior to following our travel agent's 8-day itinerary that started and ended in Rome.

We spent four nights at the wonderful hotel in Rome.  The location was perfect and although we had already purchased a suite, we were upgraded to an even larger one (as was requested by our agent).  Every detail from private drivers and tours was taken care of flawlessly.  The tour guides were all incredibly knowledgeable and took into consideration that we had an 8 and 11-yr-old with us.  Each day consisted of a three-hour tour (an orientation tour, the Vatican, the Colosseum and a Jewish Ghetto food tour), with the rest of the days at leisure.  

We then moved on to the Sorrento area after taking a train to Naples.  We had a private driver for a day and made stops in Amalfi and Positano on our way to Sorrento.  The hotel in Sorrento was lovely and had a very nice view.  There was some confusion around our room situation, but the second and third nights were rectified with a suite that accommodated the four of us nicely.  Our day trip to Capri, as well as a private cooking class at an amazing Agritourismo, were both very nice.  

Our travel agency was incredibly responsive and professional and clearly know how to structure a trip that meets clients' needs.  Traveling with children in Europe for nearly three weeks can be a challenge, but the way that our travel agency organized a high-end tour - helping us to minimize/skip lines, private drivers and tours, lovely hotels - made for a wonderful experience.  We would highly recommend this company!  Tell them your interests and criteria, and they will make it happen!
