Travel Review: Iceland Tour, Glacier & Blue Lagoons

Everyday was another great day. We had not expected to find such high quality food in Iceland. The meals were some of the best we had. Our favorite activities included the Inside the Volcano tour which is a one of a kind opportunity. The Glacier Lagoon is truly spectacular, worth the drive out and zodiac boat ride made it up close and personal. Definitely go to the Blue Lagoon. We heard it was touristy but do not confuse touristy with popular. People go there for a reason and as with everything we found in Iceland, the facilities were new extensive and clean. Hotel Silica may have been our favorite and I would plan on an extra night there next time. Don't miss the turn off just west of Back Beach up a steep dirt road to cliffs overlooking. Beautiful views.
