Travel Review: India Tour, Delhi, Varanasi, Agra, Samode Camel Tour, Jaipur Biking, Ganges River Boating, Taj Mahal

We flew into Delhi late on Friday night. Our agency suggested that we fly to Varanasi the next day, but we thought we'd need a day of rest first. They provided us with a driver and Saturday we visited some museums and shops. Wish we'd either gone on to Varanasi as recommended (we weren't that tired after all) or that we'd used the day to visit the markets in the old part of the city. Our mistake. 

We were scheduled to visit temples in Khajuraho in the morning, and then were going to drive to Jhansi to catch a train to Agra. However, we managed to see the Khajuraho temples the afternoon before, so had our morning clear (which was a better plan than what our agency scheduled). Our local guide helped by scheduling a visit to a park and village... then during the drive to Jhansi we were scheduled to visit Orchha Fort. I wish we'd started out with the plan of the park and village in the first place and had spent more time with that than we did (it would have easily been worth another hour or two). Then we could have skipped Orchha--it was too repetitive of better sites and wouldn't have been needed for scheduling purposes if the village trip had gone longer.
