Travel Review: Italy Family Vacation, Rome, Positano, Sorrento, Capri, Naples, Ravello, Vatican, Colosseum, Pizza-Making Class

We really liked the crypts and catacombs, the Amalfi excursion, the boat trip around Capri and the pizza class.   We also enjoyed having some downtime to just soak in being in Italy, and just enjoying the surroundings and cuisine. 

We liked the central location of the hotel in Rome.  It's located next to the Pantheon and that piazza della rotunda was our favorite to just hang out in.   We loved walking around Sorrento more that Amalfi, Positano and Capri.  It was much more relaxed, but you still have many high end shops, etc.   

On our way from Rome to Sorrento we stopped for a pizza lunch in Naples, right on the Bay of Naples waterfront.   It's the birthplace of pizza...how can you not?   And I was so glad we did.   So many people told me no reason to go to Naples...they were wrong.  It was one of the highlights of the trip.
