Travel Review: Italy Vacation, Florence, Rome, Palermo, Cooking Class, Walking Food Tour, Wine & Olive Oil Tasting, Farmers Markets

I recently returned from a private trip arranged by this company our agent put together the most memorable vacation.  We were in Italy for 24 days.  I had been to Italy before but my travel associate had not.  The challenge for our agent was to hit all the sites that a first time traveler to Italy would want to see as well as get me off the beaten path.  Our agent hit a home run.  Our days were filled with  the must see as well as the unusual.  We both are foodies so our agent scheduled cooking class in Florence, a walking food tour in Rome, tasting tour through a farmers marketing in Palermo and both wine and olive oil tastings throughout the country.  Every detail was seen too.  Our guides, whether explaining museum pieces or medieval towns were all so knowledgeable and helpful.  Our agent arranged for a local phone to be given to us at the beginning of our trip.  This little detailed proved to be a god sent, we were able to contact our agent if the need arose, a few small details were ironed out in minutes,  and we used the map application as we meandered the villages and towns. Every thing was perfect from our lodgings, to our guides, our itinerary; a wonderful experience.
