Travel Review: Italy Vacation, Rome, Positano, Ravello, Tuscany

Though we wanted to see as much as we could during our eleven days, we found ourselves wanting to spend some time relaxing and just taking in the atmosphere of each distinct region we visited. I wouldn't have done anything else differently!

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback, we were so pleased to see that you enjoyed Tuscany. We actually paid extra at this hotel to give you an upgrade, so you would have an extra special experience. I’m so glad you enjoyed it.

Regarding your points of concern, I will run through each one: 

Cinque Terre - During your initial conversation with your agent, she discussed the route that you wished to take - and explained that traveling from Venice to Cinque Terre in one day would be very tiring. Not only does it involve several train connections, but the local roads are very bad due to flooding in the past. I know your final comment in your review, was that you wished you would have had more time to just relax, so I think you will agree in retrospect that this was good advice. Especially since you enjoyed the Amalfi Coast so much. (Plus, Cinque Terre can be very rainy in September, whereas the Amalfi Coast is usually beautifully warm).

Delayed Final Pack - Our team noticed that your aircraft had changed and wanted to make sure you were happy with your new seat allocation, which did cause a slight delay to your vouchers. However, even still, your Final Pack was sent via Fedex 13 days prior to your departure (we promise 14 days).

Refund request - Apologies, the check was sent out as soon as you notified us that you had not received it. hen the concert schedule was announced, and we discovered the concert would be indoors instead of outdoors, we gave you the option to cancel. You decided to cancel, and so this was removed from your itinerary.

Communication breakdown - Yes, it is true that your agent was dealing with a family health issue. However, it was not a situation which we felt needed to be escalated to management level; since she was in regular contact with you by email, and at this point, you were still 2 months away from departure with all hotels, tours etc. booked and confirmed. Your email requests pertained to bed size enquiries, and restaurant reservations. Since she was only on leave for a week and a half, we felt comfortable to leave these arrangements with her assistant.
