Travel Review: Italy Vacation, Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan, Pisa, Chianti, Sistine Chapel, Vespa Tour, Cooking Class

We had a wonderful time in Italy.  We were so impressed with how friendly all Italians are and how patient they were with the tourists.  With our vacation, all the drivers, guides, and chefs were terrific.  The hotels were in great locations and also had great service.  Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly, and very generous with their time and experience in helping us have a great vacation.  We have already been talking about a return trip to Italy in the next few years to see some of the areas we didn't see on this trip.

For us, this was the perfect way to see a new country.  We didn't have to worry about renting cars, driving, or figuring out what to do each day.  We could just enjoy the country and the people.  The guided tours were excellent because they allowed us to move at our own pace and ask lots of questions.  We really enjoyed the cooking experiences.  Not only was the food delicious, but we enjoyed the hands on cooking where we were learning how to make pasta and pizza.  This was the right mix of learning about Italian history with the museums and cathedrals we visited combined with some more fun activities like the cooking classes and the Vespa tour of Rome.  

Our agent was great to work with in planning our trip.  She had a lot of great suggestions for our itinerary, but she listened to what our interests were and adjusted accordingly.  During our trip, there was a delay with the train and our agent contacted me immediately to determine how the delay would affect us and to make alternative arrangements.  We will definitely contact this travel agent for our return to Italy.
