Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

This was an absolutely perfect trip. We are five women friends who had not previously travelled together, but our travel planner seemed to touch all bases when it came to satisfying all of our unique needs and wishes. The hotels were great, the towns and local attractions were superb as were all of the guides along the way who treated us to very knowledgeable and detailed information on the sites we were seeing.
‘I would highly recommend getting our travel planner involved in another exploration of a perfect corner of Italy. We had one small glitch along the way that she was more than happy to resolve to our satisfaction, but in the end it was resolved among the group, but she was more than willing to make everyone happy. With a group of five women, that can be a tall order!

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We all loved our day at the Villa in Taormina run by the host who was terrific. As only two of the five of us were interested in the actual preparation of the meal, the remaining three agreed that they would join us for lunch. I know that all of them were completely bowled over by the experience. We spent the better part of the afternoon there and it really captured a side of Sicily we would not have seen.
All of the sites were truly amazing, but the two that stand out are the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento as well as the amazing mosaics at the Villa of Casale, it was as spectacular and made life in that century come alive.
The food, which is always a definite plus when it comes to Italy was wonderful, but the topper was the restaurant the last night in Palermo at which we were treated to an amazing dinner hosted by our travel planner. A perfect conclusion to a perfect trip!
So many cultures impacted this amazing island down through the ages and they all left their unique imprints.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I would probably add a couple more days so that we could see a bit more of Sicily. We were all somewhat disappointed that we did not see Mt. Etna up close, but it did appear to work into the travel schedule from Taromina to Siracusa.
