Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

The whole itinerary was well packaged. Our tour company which was the Chilean partner was wonderful, well co ordinated with pick ups, the English speaking guides were great & excellent drivers too. The highlight of the trip was the Atacama desert, wonderful amenities and our tour guide was so knowledgeable and passionate about the Geology of the desert, she was a wealth of information.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

All the areas were beautiful, we visited the Wine valley & the Chilean wines are definitely very good!. The lake district reminded us of Switzerland and the best part of the trip was the Atacama desert. It is unique, fascinating Geology & very intriguing all at the same time. Overall the infrastructure of Chile is of a developed world. The arrangements were fabulous!

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

Stay more in the Lake district but we were short of time. Also, Chileans celebrate the New years' eve with equal gusto. Considering it is a predominantly Catholic country, we expected everything to be closed on Christmas day but all museums & attractions close early on New years eve. Something to keep in mind for planning for other travelers.
