Travel Review: Luxury Greece Vacation, Naxos, Athens, Plaka, Santorini, Acropolis Tour, Temple of Poseidon, Sunset Catamaran Cruise

A few of the high points:
* Small luxury/deluxe hotels throughout
• The Acropolis tour and wonderful guide, Anastasia.
• The perfect suite in Naxos and the lamb in their restaurant still haunts me as best I have ever eaten.
• The private food/cooking/panorama tour in Naxos (a spectacular experience including dining in a traditional home with a home-cooked meal, and hands-on baking in a small bakery making our own cheese pies which were also shared with some of the locals having coffee.)
• Our hotel in Athens allowed us to explore the Plaka, catch changing of the guard, both unexpected things we tripped across as we explored on foot. The view from the hotel rooftop was a great way to start our trip!
• The private sunset catamaran cruise & snorkel was incredible. The water was slightly choppy in areas that evening but thrilled Linda every second as we both got exactly as wet as we dared! And the BBQ - top 5 mussels I have ever tasted, but the chicken, shrimp and sausage were also wonderful! Captains Nick and Anna were attentive without being intrusive.
* Santorini location was perfect. Breakfast daily on our private bacony with a beautiful caldera view.
• The driver for the Sounio trip, was full of history and insight. This was only exceeded by the wonderful sunset at the Temple of Poseiden.
* The friendliness of everyone we encountered, patiently enduring Linda's broken Greek and my stumbling over the easy words.
• Vasilis' willingness to listen, modify and shape my dream trip inside my budget!
