Travel Review: Luxury Italy Family Vacation, Rome, Perugia, Sorrento, Capri Boating, Mt Vesuvius Wine Tasting, Cooking Lesson

I would make sure that the dates, times and excursions were better coordinated between the Italy office and the USA office.  We had some times that were off by 30 minutes.  

I would ask to know who our drivers were going to be and make sure I had a phone number for each one in case we needed to contact them.  

I would request that our guides speak better English and that they were older and more experienced.  Especially our Amalfi Coast and Capri guides (our boat captain knew absolutely nothing and was not particularly interested in answering questions).  

I would stay in a 5 star hotel in Rome.  Our Rome hotel was very disappointing.  

I'd stay along the Amalfi Coast for at least one day to be able to better enjoy the area.

I'd include Herculaneum or Paesteum and I'd take the time to climb to the mouth of Vesuvius.

I would avoid as many "tourist" spots as possible.
