Travel Review: Luxury Italy Honeymoon, Rome, Naples, Sorrento, Pompeii, Vatican, Sistine Chapel, Private Yacht Island Tour

This Italy travel agency was great to work with in planning our honeymoon. We received an initial proposal that served as a great jumping off point for future discussions, and got to know our agent via a Skype videoconference which was a nice touch. We felt very comfortable and trusting in our agent and his team!

This travel agency did a fantastic job with planning logistics for our trip and coordinating the to/from, hotel check-ins, and coordinated nice "congratulations" gifts at each of the five hotels we checked into during our two week honeymoon. 

The planning process was made simple and largely conducted via very clear, organized emails and itinerary iterations. Whatever we asked for, our agent and company executed on quickly no questions asked. The accommodations were top notch, and every single place we visited there were people waiting for us and  guides coordinating things for us. In a foreign country this is the most important thing! 

While the logistics were perfectly executed on, we think this travel agency has an opportunity to add more value on crafting the overall experience and providing better recommendations on local restaurants and activities. We have used high-end travel agencies on other trips; we typically get materials in the mail a few weeks prior to our journey, and extensive recommendations on "local favorites." We ended up doing a lot of that research ourselves - which wasn't a huge deal - but could have improved our experience. For example, we talked to friends and asked our travel agency to plan a day-long private boat trip instead of a recommended car trip along the coast. Would have been great to get that recommendation from our agent & team! 

In addition, we were confused about logistics of lunch on a couple of travel days which could have been handled a bit better. With some small improvements, this is a five star review!
