Travel Review: Luxury Italy & Switzerland Trip, Lake Como, Lucerne, Bern, Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, Schilthorn, Cheese Tasting

The entire trip was amazing but our 3 days in the Lauterbrunnen Valley of  Switzerland was definitely our favorite.  Our private guide was fantastic.  She made the day to the top of Mount Schiltorn a real pleasure with all of her geographical and historical knowledge of the area.  Our guide also recommended an incredible hike we could do the next day on our own that was sort of a "locals only" spot, away from tourists. Our guide also accompanied us to a farm cheese-tasting in Grindelwald that was so special.  We could never have come up with these experiences on our own!
Also, the Hotel in Lucerne was absolutely fantastic.  The location was perfect, the rooms beautifully designed and the service was top-notch.  
One restaurant was the outstanding restaurant of Switzerland, served family style in a cozy setting, it was everything we wanted in a charming Swiss restaurant!
Our day trip to Bern by train from Zurich was great fun.  We found Bern to be completely different from the other cities we visited and well-worth exploring the old town there.  
The half-day trip to Shcaffausen for a private wine tasting/picnic at the wine cellar was lovely.  It was a beautiful setting for a tasting next to the vineyard with a wonderful spread of local specialties to eat with our wine tastings.
