Travel Review: Luxury Italy Vacation, Venice, Florence, Rome, Cinque Terre, Sorrento, Siena, San Gimignano, Pompeii

Since we've returned home after spending two glorious weeks in Italy, we've been asked what was our favorite part of our vacation.  It is not an easy question to answer as the entire trip was amazing!  We really had a wonderful time!  Our itinerary was very diverse -- we spent the first week staying in one hotel in Florence and took day trips -- we enjoyed a wine tasting and lunch in the Chianti region, a day trip to Venice by high-speed train, a day seeing the top sights in Florence, a day trip to Cinque Terra, and a day trip to Siena/San Gimignano. We then spent 3 nights in Rome starting with a drive from Florence to Orvieto and then into Rome that evening.  While in Rome, we visited Vatican City as well as the many historical sights of Rome.  The last four days of our vacation was in Sorrento with day trips to Pompeii and Herculaneum, Amalfi Coast and Positano, Capri and a full day in Sorrento!  Every day offered a new amazing experience - so can't pick just one - each day was great!
