Excellent advanced planning made our trip extraordinary. The guides were excellent and informative, and we moved through the country with ease and confidence. No snags, no frustrations.All our needs were met, all our questions answered. We learned more on this trip than any in the past. What a way to travel!

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Ryocans gave an unexpected elegance to our travels. Taking cooking classes in each city was a highlight for every member of our family. We learned so much about the culture through the foods. I recommend highly.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

Fewer cities, more natural landscape and outdoor adventures. Skip Osaka and Hiroshima (save a day trip to the park). We longed to see the outer areas of the country. Other islands, other regions.
