Travel Review: Luxury New Zealand Vacation, Auckland, Hawkes Bay, Abel Tasman, Milford Sound, Franz Josef, Fly Fishing, Golfing

Every day was memorable and enjoyable. We sailed and crewed on an America's Cup yacht in Auckland Bay. We developed a new appreciation of New Zealand wines with personal wine tours on Waiheke Island, Hawkes Bay and Blenheim. At Rotorua after a float plane tour of the Tarawera volcano and lakes we were picked up on the lake by our guide and spent 2 days of pleasant fishing. There was golf on the scenic courses at Cape Kidnappers and Jacks Point. We had another enjoyable day of fly fishing out of a lodge near Nelson. The Able Tasman cruise was beautiful and we learned a lot about the flora and fauna of the area. We took a helicopter flight landing on a glacier at Franz Josef, rode the Trans Alpine train, and cruised the Milford Sound. We enjoyed personal gourmet meals at the Manse near Hawkes Bay and at the lodge near Nelson. All considered, we could not imagine a better trip.
