Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

Working with our agent was an enjoyable experience. He listened to our interests, made some suggestions and responded promptly to my many emails. He sent me no less than 5 proposed itineraries (I wanted to see it all) before we finally settled on a plan. I made a few last minute change requests that were pleasantly accommodated.

All transfers, travel and guides went exactly as they should. It is a relief after traveling for so many hours to enter the airport and see a sign with your name on it. Our hotels were well located and of a high standard, all including breakfast. We are still talking about our breakfasts in Madrid, so delicious and served outside in the most beautiful garden.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Our hotel in Sevilla took our breath away. Well located by the cathedral and Alcazar. We had a room with a rooftop patio and outdoor whirlpool tub. The views of the cathedral at night were something I will never forget.

I loved Toledo, the beautiful church and El Greco paintings.

Our guides were so professional and knowledgeable. I had never taken a private tour before and hadn't really given it much thought. We were paired with subject experts who were proficient in english, fun and engaging. We laughed a few times because we really couldn't believe this was our luxurious vacation. No tour buses, head of the line and picked up in a Mercedes. Everyone we were in contact with provided first rate, professional service.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I would not take the cooking class. I found it too drawn out and not particularly educational.

I found we are not day trip people (not the agent's fault, we didn't know this until after a couple of long days). I would have preferred to stay in some of the smaller cities (Toledo, Cordoba) and less time in the busy cities. While I wouldn't have wanted to miss Barcelona it was very busy and we were more than ready to leave after two days.
