Travel Review: Luxury Tour of Egypt, Sharm El Sheik, Ashwan, Giza, Abu Simbel, Nile River Cruise, Scuba Diving

Everything on the trip was great, however we would probably select different accommodation at Sharm El Sheik.  Although it was a 5-star hotel, and it was certainly up to that standard, the format was an enormous hotel property and designed more for "party people" or loud families.  We were planning several days of slow, relaxation time, and this hotel was a bit unexpected in comparison to the other more low-key, boutique accommodations earlier in the trip.  We would maybe consider staying and scuba diving in Dahab instead.  The dive company that the tour company booked us on to had quite old (unsafe) rental scuba gear.  Both my regulator and BCD were leaking (dangerous if used by a novice diver), wetsuits were old, with holes, and the company was unable to provide me correct size boots and fins on both of the days of diving.  Our travel company were great, but I would consider choosing a dive shop on your own separately or arranging your dives when you arrive.
