Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

My travel agent did a wonderful job! I had done a bunch of research ahead of time so I had some particular things I was looking for and it was really easy to work with her on all of it. I've never had such a smooth vacation as this one. Not one part had a hiccup. That's even despite one of the hotels having had a recent fire! The rental car and all the accommodations were just wonderful. All tickets and vouchers worked just the way they should and we had a fantastic time driving around in our Mercedes Automatic all over the islands. We are foodies so we wanted to include some high end dining and our agent notified them all in advice of my partners aversion to seafood and it was not a problem for any of them. Couldn't have asked for a more smoothly planned trip! Thank you so much!

I honestly wasn't sure about working with someone who wasn't in Scotland OR Canada but it was no problem at all!

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

The Isle of Islay is a beautiful place and we really would've liked to stay there longer. The pubs were so cozy and each distillery tour is an experience on it's own. We were also really impressed to visit the woolen mill. We loved finding all the different distillery tartans and taking a few home. We had an excellent guide and I would definitely recommend her.

I really enjoyed the driving as well personally. Now I know I could probably do standard but I'm glad we got the automatic for the first time and the Mercedes sort of station wagon was great!

We really enjoyed hiking around Glen Nevis. I think the 2 nights in every place is actually still a bit too hurried unfortunately, but we know of lots of places to go with our parents to show them around now.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I think if I'm honest I'd say I'd stay out in the country places longer. My partner Brady would've stayed on Islay for the 2 weeks but I think he liked the cities a bit more than me. It makes sense to be on the islands or around Ben Nevis for a few full days to actually let the relaxation seep in a bit better. Racing for ferries didn't help the tension in my shoulders hehe.
