Travel Review: Luxury Trip to Egypt, Luxor, Cairo, Abu Simbel, Valley of the Kings, Pyramids, Camel Tour

Our travel company arranged the perfect trip to Egypt.  Egypt has been on the top of my bucket list for the last 20 years.  Usually part of my travel enjoyment is to book everything myself, but I was nervous about booking in this part of the world.  This company took care of everything.

We finalized this trip just a month prior to departure over the Christmas and the New Year holiday 2017.  It was a busy time and things had to be juggled, but everything went very smoothly.  We had a representative at the airport each time to take care of the luggage and escort us to the car.  And then someone else meet us at the hotel to assist us in getting to our room.  It went very smoothly.   When we were leaving the country, an overzealous security guard requested written itinerary for my husband, that I had packed in my luggage.  Thank goodness our guide was there to explain that we were legitimate passengers.

We had excellent guides that helped us navigate the Egyptian history.  They spoke English very well and were very knowlegeable.  They were flexible in the schedule to give us time on our own to experience each site.  Having an individual guide is absolutely the best way to go, because the sites raise so many questions and we didn't have to fight a group to hear explanations.

I gave our agent the task of booking a Camel ride on Christmas eve and New Years Eve at a party overlooking the Nile.  He produced these and we are very grateful.  Our hotels were outstanding with views as promised.
