Travel Review: Luxury Trip to Italy, Florence, Venice, Bologna, Cooking Class, Statue of David

I'm not sure where to begin because there was so many memorable things!  

Our Hotel in Florence was Outstanding!!  Historical hotel with Jr. Suite room that is beautiful and the Roof Top Terrace is AMAZING as it overlooks the city.  Sitting on the roof was the perfect way to end each day admiring the entire city listening to church bells. We had the most fabulous tour guide who spent two days teaching us the history and stories of Florence, along with introducing us to delicious food. Many tour guides are drab and boring...not this guide!  She engaged us all, including my 14 year old son. Trip ended with an outstanding cooking lesson from The Cooking School.  Walked the city with our chef to small markets to shop for the food that was transformed into a delicious dinner. Such a neat experience to make homemade ravolli with my family!

Bologna was a wonderful, smaller city full of life as locals celebrated Easter.  Most shops were closed but it didn't matter.  Our agent suggested the Grand Majestic Hotel which definitely lives up to it's name! We didn't schedule any tours there because of the Holiday, but loved the city and want to return.
