Travel Review: Portugal Trip, Lisbon, Evora, Belmonte, Trancoso, Douro Valley, Cooking Lesson, Wine & Port Tasting, Castles

We thoroughly enjoyed each location and activity they arranged for us. We appreciated the diversity, from a nature walk along the aqueducts outside Evora, to the wine and port tasting and lunch in the Douro Valley; from the cooking lesson in Lisbon to learning of the meaning of the Inquisition to the people of Belmonte and Trancoso and elsewhere. And of course the amazing castles and their histories.

The accommodations, too, were pleasant. The hotel in Evora, in particular, was a delight. While the room was small, the staff was attentive, the building unique and the breakfast was perfect.
