Travel Review: Southeast Asia Tour, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Hanoi, Siem Reap, Luang Prabang, Saigon, Angkor Wat, Halong Bay

Our travel agency met or exceeded our expectations. We worked with this company to plan our agenda based on our intent for the trip. To experience the people, food, countryside, luxury accomdmoations and some activities off the well-worn track. Our time in Laos, Camboadia and 2 weeks in Vietnam was diverse and entirely enjoyable. From the Angkor temples outside Siam Reap, to the Luang Prabang Hmong villages and night market, the three day voyage on Halong Bay, motorcycle rides through the chaotic streets of Hanoi, meals in homes of local farmers all allowed us to step out and beyond our everyday lives. Our private guides and drivers were consistently knowledgeable, good English speakers, attentive to our needs as we often modified the itinerary and were patient with the American tourists. Food and eating were important elements for the trip and our travel agency helped with planning local lunches and providing some recommendations for dinner when we were on our own. We are also thankful to our travel planner for helping us to rearrange our trip when my wife got sick and could not make our scheduled flights. Our travel planner's attentiveness allowed us to take our time getting healthy and rejoing the itinerary with only a minimal glitch. A final comment. We did compare the exact itinerary between this company and another Zicasso recommended tour agency. Our travel agency was significantly less expensive even with upgrading all the hotel rooms, and absolutely met our goals for the trip.
