Travel Review: Tailor Made Greek Vacation with Catamaran Sailing

We did not enjoy the hotel in Athens. It was cramped and old. Our elevator to the 6th floor was often occupied, slow, and the steps were not easy to take to the 6th floor, although we had to do it a couple of times. We had to walk 15 minutes to another hotel to work out at a very poor facility. We could not get an iron because the hotel did not have any iron to give to the guests. I also want to mention that it was very difficult to convert US dollar to Euro in Athens. I went to 3 different banks, had to produce my passport and pay a commission to convert. This was not the case in Santorini or Mykonos. Most merchants in Greece prefer and some demand cash and dislike credit card transaction, which made it difficult as we did not take a lot of cash with us. We did enjoy the private tour at Athens as Laura is knowledgeable about the history.
