Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

Overall, the trip was very good. The itinerary was very good. There was nothing on the itinerary that I would say "I wish we wouldn't have done that". The choice of hotels was good. We were somewhat disappointed that some of the hotels did not have air conditioning (at least the rooms we were given)-our hotel in Honfleur advertised that they had air conditioning. We do understand that A/C is not standard in Europe.

The guides we were assigned were excellent with the one exception of one. Others were tremendous guides.

I'm extremely pleased with this travel company. Our agent was a pleasure to work with and arranged a fantastic trip. We had few items to clarify and we made a few changes that were handled very well by the travel team. I'm impressed with the customer service and the responsiveness to our questions and request. I have traveled extensively and I think this company did the finest job of any travel company we've ever used.

I would add that we started planning the trip about a month before we traveled. I understand this makes it much more difficult to make arrangements with limited time but our agent did an exceptional job given the constraints.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

I think all of the places on our itinerary were great. They each have a special aspect that we enjoyed. Perhaps, the trip to the Normandy beaches was the most memorable. Our guide was terrific and we learned a wealth of information from her and she tailored the visit to our interest as we had some personal connections to the Normandy invasion.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

If we could take the trip again, I would add an additional day/night in each city we visited. The regions we visited offer so many interesting experiences that we could have spent additional time. If I chose one thing, I would probably have added Saumur to the agenda. Also, I would stayed in Amboise rather than Tours and I would probably have requested to stay within the intra-muros area in St. Malo.

I am very sorry for the points you mentioned about the A/C in the rooms. I totally understand how frustrating it could be. And I remember checking that the hotels and their rooms had A/C so this is not satisfying at all and I am sorry for this inconvenience. We will be more strict with this question in the future when it comes to booking our hotels. Thank you for pointing that out for us.
