Travel Review: Tour of Iceland, Vestmannaeyjar, Eldfell Volcano Hike, Diamond Beach, Glaciers & Lagoons

We chose this travel agency over other companies because of the itinerary that the company, through our agent, provided.  We were not disappointed.  The pace of the trip was perfect.  We had plenty of adventure stops interspersed with scenic drives -- never too lengthy -- through the beautiful, long Icelandic summer days.    Our travel group ranged in age from the late 20's to the late 60's, and the trip was carefully planned with something for everyone.  All but one of the travelers had been to Iceland before, and the itinerary included a thoughtful mix of innovative and more traditional activities.  Everyone had a memorable time. 

The only glitches -- and they were small ones -- involved indirect third party providers and not the travel company directly:  a driver who failed to arrive for pick-up, a rental car company that did not furnish all materials, and a hotel that was unexpectedly under construction.  We were impressed that our travel agency followed up with the third party companies and reported back to us on every issue.
