Travel Review: Tour of Spain & Portugal, Lisbon, Madrid, Seville, Toledo, Nerja, Alhambra Tour, History & Culture

First off, we were lucky and happy to find Zicasso who steered us to this travel agency for our trip to Spain and Portugal. We had several communications with our travel agent as we worked to plan our trip. Initially we thought we wanted to add Morocco to the trip but our agent talked us out of that because of the travel and time issues in between the countries and cities. We are glad we listened to his advice. Then over the phone and email he interviewed us to find out what interests us and then he submitted a travel plan for our review. We may have made one or two small tweaks but he certainly understood who we were and what we wanted in a vacation.

The trip went very smooth. Our private drivers were always waiting for us at the airports, hotels and after tours.

The hotels were great as advertised. The included breakfasts were great, also.

We took private tours and all of our guides were fun and knowledgeable. We felt that we experienced as much of the Spanish culture and history as we desired. And our scheduled downtime was perfectly timed.

Our agent actually joined us for a glass of wine at our Madrid Hotel. A really great guy who cares about his clients, as well as his guides and drivers. On as side note, on the way to the Madrid airport I discovered I had left my wedding ring in our Madrid Hotel. I texted our agent and said he would take care of it. And he did!! The ring showed up at our Lisbon hotel the next day. That's service above and beyond!!
