Vacation Review: Chile, Easter Island, Valparaiso, Atacama Desert, Wine Tasting

Most part of the trip went smoothly, with exception of the pickup at Easter Island. We waited for about half an hour without finding a sign for us. We called and texted our assigned contact at this travel company.  There was something happened between the the agent's Chilean branch and the local agent on the island. 
Also a couple areas for improvement: 
1) It would be much nicer if the agent could clearly stated in the itinerary that we MUST check in our luggage 2 hour before the departure.  We almost couldn't get on the flight to Easter Island because the check in for luggage was closed 1.5 hours ahead of the departure time. We were not made aware of that. The time we finished our check-in on a kiosk, it was 1 hour 20 minutes before the departure time. The lack of able English speaking staff at the Santiago airport further delayed our process. Luckily we stayed at a hotel just across the street, we were able to drop our luggage at the hotel and just brought with us the carryon luggage. Otherwise, we would have totally missed the trip to the island as there was no available flight for the next two days.   2) the quality of the tour guides.  Some of the tour guides are quite knowledgeable and engaging, while others are merely pointing out where we could go, which I think we could do it with a good driver rather than a guide.  We hired a local guide in Valparaiso by ourselves out of our own pocket who spoke better englishand provided much better experience for us at a very reasonable rate.
