Vacation Review: Luxury Italy Tour, Cinque Terre, Truffle Hunting, Food Experiences, Hiking, the Views & the Locals

   Cinque Terre was special and what made it so was the room that Alexandria insisted we must have in Vernazza.
    It was a long trek to the room, every room in Vernazza is a long trek, but once we got there all we saw was the beautiful Mediterranean shimmering outside both large windows. 
   I don't want to write a novel here, but the cooking class was not only an extraordinary food experience, but the warmth of all will always be treasured by my wife and me.  Truffle hunting with our guide and then eating a meal with his sister where every course teemed with "real" truffles.  Again indescribable in both food and the warmth of the people. The hike from Vernazza to Corniglia.  Every town in Cinque Terre.  The vitality and vibrancy of a great university city like Bologna.  The elegant resort in Florence with our duplex room having views of the countryside and the Duomo.
