Argentina & Uruguay Tour Review: 35-Day Vacation

Our tour included a one day visit to Colonia Uruguay. This one day trip required customs and immigration clearances leaving Argentina+ entering Uruguay + the same thing on the way back with a 1 1/4 hour ferry ride each way ontop of this. We found that we spent most of the day standing in line for everything from clearances, tickets, boarding of the ferry etc. This occurred the day before we flew home with all of the associated beaurocracy associated with airports, airplanes, customs, immigration etc. We actually found it far more stressful to do the Colonia visit than to fly back to Colombia from Buenos Aires!
It was not wise planning to put the Colonia trip before an arduous day flying home. In retrospect, we would have preferred to plan that at another time.
