Iceland Vacation Review: Grindavik, Reykjavik, Geothermal Pool, Skaftafell Vatnajokull National Park

The 2-day excursion to Skaftafell and the glacier walk was the highlight of our trip.  We had a very friendly tour guide who got along very well with us and the other groups joining the tour.  The glacier itself was beautiful, as were the waterfalls and beaches we stopped at along the way.

The geothermal spa near Grindavik and the hotel were also quite enjoyable.  This was the last stop of our vacation, and was great for relaxation.  We opted to splurge for an in-water massage and a nice dinner at the hotel's restaurant where we enjoyed a complimentary sparkling wine.
