Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

I appreciated the company's, and Giulio's, attention to details in both planning out the trip and once we arrived. I appreciated the professionalism and the prompt responses. The ability to choose between two hotels during the planning stage was a plus, as well as the list of restaurants we received and their offer to make the reservations. I wanted a low-stress trip, and that was accomplished.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Our personal tour guide in both Pompeii and Naples, was excellent and helped to expand our experience. We ended up going to the National Archaeological Museum in Naples because of our guide, despite our limited time, and it was a highlight, especially having visited Pompeii first. The food/wine in Italy is always memorable, and our wine-tasting luncheon in Pompeii was a fun experience despite the rain. All the drivers were excellent and the "newer" cars were a plus. A big thanks to Giulio and his team for their flexibility.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

Unfortunately it rained quite a bit during our trip along the coast, and everyone kept commenting on the unusual weather, meaning it can rain on and off but not consistently. Given this experience, I would've asked the company for some contingency plans or alternate activities beforehand knowing, especially, that we wouldn't be refunded for pre-booked activities. The company did arrange a couples massage for us at the hotel in lieu of our private boat tour, which we really appreciated, but discussing this in advance or knowing there was a Plan B would elevate any company to another level.
