Italy Review: Tremezzo Lake Como, Venice, Rome, Positano, Swimming Along the Coast of Capri, History & Views

Working with Zicasso was a positive experience for us.  We had been planning a trip to Italy for over 18 years and when it was finally time, we needed help organizing our ideas and plans.  Zicasso put us in touch with three good travel companies, but it was our travel designer with this tour company who really listened and understood what we were looking to accomplish.  When we had a family emergency the first time around, our designer was gracious and agreed to keep our information on file until the following year – not many people would do that.

This company is just what is says.  Our travel designer and I exchanged a number of emails and had a few phone conversations to make sure we had the trip of our dreams, “our design” and it was perfect!  My husband and I enjoyed the first part of our trip solo spending 3 or 4 days each in Tremezzo on Lake Como, Venice, Florence (and Chianti), and Positano on the Amalfi Coast before meeting our children in Rome for the last 5 days.  The designer organized transportation between cities and to/from activities that required travel beyond walking distance.  She also arranged private (or small group) guides to places we visited and skip-the-line tickets, which were priceless!  Each guide was fantastic both in personality and knowledge.  When asked, everyone we met had nothing but favorable comments about our designer.  Drivers, guides, hotel personnel all knew our travel designer because she planned our trip using personal experience and not just a tour book.  Included in our prearranged activities, the designer also prepared detailed ideas for our “free time” in each destination including restaurant recommendations and helpful hints to getting around in Venice.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this tour company.  I do not believe we would have had the amazing experience we had in Italy if it were not for this travel designer and her help.
