Italy Travel Review: Rome, Florence, Venice, Tuscany, San Gimignano, Amalfi Coast, Sorrento

From the moment we met our agent to the last, tearful farewell, our experiences were memorable, incredible, and thoroughly enjoyed.  Our agent created a well orchestrated, thoughtful voyage through Italy by bus, van, boat, train, gondola, and water taxi.  She began our voyage in quiet Sorrento, quickened our pace in Rome and Florence, and slowed us down in San Gimignano and Venice.  Every guide, hotel, and restaurant were carefully chosen to reflect the area we were in.  Our agent personalized the tour by adding special moments to our itinerary as well as seeking our input throughout the tour.  She generously shared her favorite stores and restaurants and recalled previous trips and travels.  Our agent was always willing to answer a question, make a suggestion, or provide an alternative activity.  She also planned days that had quiet moments to be by yourself, form a small group activity, or personally explore an area.  In this way, although we had the security of an experienced guide, we also had the serendipity to go off on our own to search, get lost, or find our own treasured memories.  We have been on many tours; some marvelous, others good, and some nasty.  Our agent exceeded our expectations and made our trip to Italy one we will remember for a lifetime!
