The trip was outstanding in New Zealand, I might change a few things if I went again, but for my first trip I don't think it could have been improved on. The US airlines, United, almost ruined it, but we were very fortunate. Air New Zealand is an outstanding carrier. Kate is an excellent travel agent, she was of help at all phases of the trip.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

It is not an exaggeration to say it was all enjoyable. The highlights were the transalpine railway, the helicopter, walk, jet boat experience, the stay at the sheep station. All of our accommodations were excellent, Budget car rental was easy to work with.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

Because I have seen beautiful fiords in other parts of the world, I probably would have seen something else than Milford Sound, I would have enjoyed another helicopter ride over beautiful country, but it is so weather dependent you can never be sure you are going to be able to do it. We were blessed with beautiful weather.
