This travel company was one of the best travel companies my husband Paul and I have ever worked with, especially since the lady we worked with was our travel planner. She was a dream travel consultant: knowledgeable, efficient, prompt and, above all, patient. She was meticulous with our planning of our 3 week trip to New Zealand. She made sure we "hit" many of New Zealand's highlights, arranging for transportation, group tours, personal tours, drivers where needed, and hotels as well as more intimate B & Bs which we had requested. This travel team made what a good trip into a great trip.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

This is hard to do in a trip full of highlights but if we were to select just the top three experiences and/or sights, they would be:
1) the natural beauty of this country almost everywhere we traveled in North and South Islands, 2) Maori-related sites/sights in the Rotorua area where we spent four nights, and 3) the boat trip to Doubtful Sound (originally, Milford Sound was scheduled but storms just preceding our trip closed access to Milford Sound; the company's agents on site in New Zealand were able to arrange Doubtful Sound in place of Milford Sound quickly - a minor miracle, we thought).

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

About the only thing we would do differently would be to allow more than three weeks in New Zealand. We saw quite a bit in those three weeks but didn't have the time to really "savor" where we were in the way we would have liked. If we could have had four or five weeks, we would have added a day or two to almost every place we visited in order to have time to just take it all in. It's difficult to just stay in a place one night or two and then move on, at least for us. Three or four nights at least would have been ideal.
If this amount of time is not possible, then perhaps dividing North and South Islands into two separate trips taken a year apart. Each part would be three weeks long.
For us it's not just seeing sights but experiencing being where we are - and that means having more time.
