we had some unfortunate experiences at Tongariro lodge..very slow breakfast service,rooms were hot and had not been aired out before we arrived and mix ups with the fishing they arranged for us..but we really enjoyed the white water rafting trip..the manager of the lodge was never around ..the lodge seemed to be understaffed..those who were there did their best to please.so all in all i would skip this stop
