Review: Africa Safari, Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro

The trip was a once in a life time adventure,  The hotels (tents) were amazing .  we had made our own travel plans for the air portion (based on points) so this was not a factor.  The land transportation was made by our travel agency and was right on the money,  We had many changes of plans during the planning phases and our agency was right there all the time  We changed dates, months, destinations, departures, arrivals, you named it  we changed it and in the long run it was seamless.

The Mount Kilimanjaro tour company that was our Tanzanian guides for the trips were great.  They were flexible in the plans and what we wanted to do and accomplish.  The jeeps were  little old (2006 or 2008 - not sure) and could have been more appealing - torn seat covers, and the roof was a rubber roof not a pop up so when it rained, you had no choice but to close the roof unlike the popup that you could still stand up pin and not get wet.

Food left something to be deserved . In all fairness, my husband is lactose intolerant and therefore need special foods. Our agency as wonderful abut informing all the lodges of this, and the lodges were aware but they were incapable of really cooking  foods that was fit the nutritional  needs . He was served most carbs with little to no protein at all . Except the last three nights, where the chef actually sat with us and planned out meals for my husband.  Those three days were heaven.

I would highly recommend this agency for anyone seeking a truly amazing African vacation,
