Review: Anniversary Trip to Greece, Athens, Naplio, Santorini, Mycenae, Epiduras, Acropolis Tour, Catamaran Cruise, Hiking

We most enjoyed it tours of the ancient sites - in Athens we enjoyed our tour of the Acropolis  the First modern Olympic Stafium and walking the shop lined streets.  We ate at the sling Gejrge restaurant, overlooking the Acropolis, had cocktails at the Grand Bretagne, and in on our final night at Alecia - a tasting menu with wine pairings- where the staff was extremely attentive to all details and the food and beverages were exquisite.  On our way to the Peloponnese we toured the Corinth Canal, and a winery.  Once in Nafplio, we enjoyed a lunch on the sea coast, walked up 859 steps to the Castle, and enjoyed a cold beverage to recover from our walk.  The fish restaurant was simple and elegant and the food was delicious.  Nafplio is a beautiful town, with many shops and restaurants.  We wished we had more time here to explore this city.  From there we traveled to Epiduras and Mycenae.  Our tour guide helped us understand the history and the lore of pre-historical sites.  From there we returned to Athens via Mercedes sedan.   We flew from Athens to Santorini, where we spent 5 nights. The location of the hotel we stayed at was phenomenal and the staff was attentive to our every need.  We made arrangements thru the hotel for restaurants, with our favorites being Fly Away, La Maison, and the tasting menu at the San Antonio restaurant, where every ounce of care was put into the creation of phenomenal dishes. Finally, we arranged a day long, private catamaran cruise (again thru the hotel).  The staff was knowledgeable, the sights were beautiful and the crew attended to every need we had.  Our final day was left hiking to Oia and back, and spending the rest of the day at the pool, overlooking the caldera and the beautiful scenery.  This was the perfect trip.
