Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

This travel agent and the travel team did an absolutely wonderful job planning our trip to Portugal! We spent 9 days in Lisbon and the Algarve and it was the perfect blend of busy, lively city and relaxation at the beach. We thought about including Porto or wine country in our trip, but it was really nice to be able to get to know the areas we visited well and not feel like we were spending all of our vacation in an airport, train, or car. Trust me, there is good wine everywhere in Portugal! The hotels, restaurants, excursions, and drivers recommended were all fantastic and we were so impressed with how easy they made it for us. No travel or logistics hiccups whatsoever. Our travel agent and his team were super responsive and took any suggestions or feedback we had into account when planning the itinerary. We will definitely recommend them to any friends or family traveling to Portugal!

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We had two favorite excursions on our trip - one in Lisbon and the other in the Algarve. We loved the cooking class in Lisbon where we were able to shop for ingredients for the meal and then return with the chef to his home to prepare the meal and eat with his family. Such a unique and wonderful experience! In the Algarve, we took a sailboat out in the Ria Formosa where we sailed to an oyster farm to enjoy fresh oysters and wine, and meet with the owner of the farm (whose family has owned it for generations). The tour team were incredibly knowledgeable about the area and provided wonderful service during this incredible experience. Lastly, we just wanted to give a huge shoutout to our driver for the week! He was the best - so knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and warm.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

The only thing we would change about our trip (besides going for a longer period of time!), was our excursion in the West Algarve. It was a full day tour of various castles, landmarks, towns etc. which we don't mind doing, but for a couple our age (early 30's), I think we would have preferred seeing more of the coast in this area - lookout points, spending time at different beaches, touring the Bengali caves, etc.
