Review: South America Vacation, Argentina, Chile, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Puerto Varas, Bariloche, Iguazu Falls, Perito Moreno

the best part of the trip was easily Eustancia Nibepo Aike. Aside from the bumpy road for an hour and a half to get there, it is magical.  at the end of the road, and surrounded by snow capped mountains all around, it is one of the most beauriful places I have seen.  Simple and unassuming, the food is good and the staff is wonderful and very friendly. But the big hero of the place is the land, every view is magical.  

the second best part of the trip was the lake crossing from Bariloche to Puerto Varas. Really different, lots of vistas and forests, the day took us from the comfort of Bariloche to a boat to a bus to another lake crossing to another bus, where we climbed into a tropicla forrest and then on to a third lake.  And finally skirting a volcano and stopping to see the volcanic waterfall and then to the Chilean city of Puerto Varas.  the hotel we stayed at was excellent, such nice people and the chef cooked us freshly bought seafood that we requested earlier in the day.  And the wine is unbelievably good. Really a 5 star trip.  However, the bus ride home wasn't so much fun. It was 8 hours on a local bus through the Argentinian and Chilean customs, not a fun ride, lots of standing around and no food or drinks.  We should have been told about this.
