South Africa, Namibia Luxury Travel Review: Cape Town, Swakopmund, Safari, 16-Night Trip

We first used Zicasso on a family and friends trip to Morocco in 2016. The agency that was recommended to us provided us with a trip that exceeded our expectations. Everything was thought out, from specific tables in restaurants to ideal spots on the road for pictures. We were amazed and recommended Zicasso to our friends and family for their future trips.

When we decided on another family trip to Namibia and South Africa we immediately had Zicasso in mind. We selected this travel company due to the attentiveness to detail that they showed us when planning out the itinerary. Unfortunately, our experience with them was not what we expected. Although the trip was great and the guides were helpful and friendly, the service we received was lacking. There were some places we added to our itinerary that we really wanted to visit but the guides failed to check opening days until it was too late. The restaurants that the guides told us were really good, even from the planning stages, they did not reserve and we could not go to them since they were full when we arrived. The website portal did not work for some of the family members. And finally, the permanent guidance, engaging facts and stories, was lacking from the guides. There were many tours and attractions where the guides dropped us off and left us to wander them unguided, even when we could see other groups had guides with them. Importantly, most of the trip was done by car and the vehicle that we got in Nambia was not appropriate for the type of roads, for the amount of space needed, and for sightseeing from inside the car. This significantly impacted the quality of the tours we had.

It is worth mentioning that the several guides who accompanied us during our trip were extremely friendly and great people, but we do not believe that they provided the service we were expecting from a Zicasso-recommended agency. We would like to use Zicasso in the future again but are worried after this experience. We will recommend the travel company we used for Morocco to our friends but not sure if Zicasso.
