South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia & Botswana Luxury Vacation Review: Safari, Victoria Falls, Cape Town, 3-Week Tour

Victoria Falls and each safari excursion were all memorable. Departing early morning or late afternoon on the safaris, not knowing what nature would provide us was always exciting and never disappointing. Whether it was being parked in the middle of a lion pride or the middle of a herd of buffalos, coming face to face with a bull elephant on a walking safari, or under a tree with a male leopard resting on a branch after feasting on his prey, all the animal encounters were unique and memorable. And the sunsets were spectacular. We stayed at 4 different safari camps (1 in South Africa and 3 in Botswana) and each one provided a different experience of fauna, flora and animals. What they did have in common was outstanding staff, guides, food and accommodations. Although our 4 days in Cape Town were kind of eclipsed by Victoria Falls and the safari camps, we still enjoyed starting our trip in Cape Town, and it also provided us a few days to adjust to the nine-hour time zone difference.
