Tanzania & Kenya Tour: Wildlife Safari, Mount Kilimanjaro, Maasai Culture

One thing that really threw us off was the malaria pills. We didn't do enough research on the side-effects and what we could do to mitigate them. Some people have only mild reactions, but we were really thrown for a loop.

The second things was - we did not bring nearly enough "tip" money. This was a big mistake on our part. Cash, and more specifically: tipping, is a major factor of this trip that we weren't properly prepared for. The tour company was actually extremely helpful in this case and loaned us cash without any fuss - which was a life saver. But next time I would definitely have more cash in hand. 

Everything else went off without a hitch.
