Travel Review: Iceland Vacation, Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, Pingvellir National Park, Northern Lights

The thing I will remember the most will be the knowledge of our Icelandic native tour guide. We did not only gain the experience of the trip but the history and understanding of the importance and effects on the country. We visited places not on a basic tour experience. The depths of his family in Iceland allowed us to view his family’s participation in the country. Seeing the farm life and how they take care of their live stock. How many produce their own electricity. 

We also experienced a super Jeep tour. Amazing how ice and snow does not stop those jeeps. That Jeep tour allowed us to see summer places in the winter when it is covered in snow and ice. Our Jeep driver also cooked us an amazing dinner without any electricity. 

Another amazing place was the Glacier lagoon and crystal beach near Jökulsárlón. I know my mouth fell to the ground the evening we visited that beach. 

The water fall in Iceland are so beautiful. Gullfoss was almost frozen over. We have so many amazing videos of all these waterfalls 

Pingvellir  and it’s history of Iceland’s parliament in the 10th and 18th century. 

However, the best thing we did was a check off on our bucket list. We saw the Northern Lights. AMAZING!!!!!!  We have so awesome pictures. I feel so lucky because we talked to several people at the airport that went out 3 and 4 nights and never saw them
