Travel Review: Italy Honeymoon, Florence, Venice, Rome, Positano, Tuscany, Capri, Vatican, Gondola Tour, Cooking Class

The entire trip was memorable and each city we visited was such a fabulous experience.  What we liked best about the trip is that our travel planner arranged for a number of private tours.  This allowed us to be with a terrific guide that could tell us about the cities both historically and culturally.  Our guides were able to recommend restaurants and their recommendations were spot on.  In Venice we especially enjoyed the Gondola ride where we were able to enjoy Venice from the water.  Our time in Florence was too short.  We could have spent a couple of more days in Florence and the countryside.  Our guide in Florence was wonderful.  You can hear the passion in her voice as she tells you about Michelangelo's life as a sculptor and painter.  She made our afternoon in Florence extra special.  Rome was Rome!  My wife is Catholic and she has always wanted to go to Italy where here family immigrated from and to experience the Vatican and attend the Papal Blessing on Sunday was extra special.  Our guide in Rome provided several grand tours and best of all he put us onto some fantastic restaurants for some of the best food we ate on the trip.  From Rome we went to Positano on the Amalfi Coast.  Our travel planner suggested we close out our Honeymoon in Positano and that put the exclamation point on a memorable trip.  In Positano we enjoyed the warmness of the people, the food and Capri Island.  Our travel planner booked us a cooking class.  We learned to cook some Italian favorites and she made the class so much fun.  This Honeymoon was filled with so many memories.
