Travel Review: Luxury Italy Birthday Vacation, Tuscany, Rome, Amalfi Coast, Capri, Wine Tours, Cooking Class

First, let me say we had a lovely time and the organization of the trip was well executed.  Our itinerary had a timing error which could have resulted in potentially missing a train reservation,  however, the quick action and supported communications with the weekend staff allowed us to make the connection and proceed with our plans.  

The tour guide of our walking tour in Rome was politely described as " a weathered and shabby" guide.  He seemed exasperated to provide a historical look at the ruins etc.  He attempted a couple of times at humour but it failed miserably.  He was poorly dressed and was in fact, quite shabby.  However, that aside, we did get a three hour tour of the ruins.  Perhaps we were spoiled with our previous guides and drivers that were so helpful and engaging.

  As for the accommodations, we were satisfied with the hotels.  

Overall, a great vacation!
