Travel Review: Luxury Scotland Vacation, Edinburgh, Highlands Hiking, Military Tattoo, Castle Tours

The trip was very well planned.  They gave us the very best information on sights to see. We were disappointed with the hikes however. Our guides were not familiar with the hikes they lead so we got some very poor hikes. Maybe there are no hikes that are that good for our level in Scotland. The John Muir segment we were given was totally boring. The hikes in Aviemore were quite limited.  I originally wanted a hiking tour and this agency said they could provide that but they really cannot. We did find a couple on our own that were very good. I guess next time we need to find a hiking group as your travel agents do not deal with this kind of trip.  Do you have hiking tours through your auspices?  I wish they would have told us about the Fringe and the Military Tattoo.  When we got there we had to pay scalpers' prices to see it. At least we got to see it.
