Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

Our travel agency travel coordinator helped plan a seamless itinerary. All of the guides an transportation services in our itinerary were provided punctually and without a glitch. The accomodations were fabulous as were the eating establishments that were included in our itinerary or recommended outside fo the travel agency's tinerary. The entire tour was fabulous. We would definitely plan further travel to Latin America through this agency.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Viewing the wildlife and flora in the Amazon rainforest was definitely a highlight of the trip. It's not every day we toss bread out of our rowboat to feed the piranhas! Seeing monkeys, cayman, capabarra, and Macaws in their native habitat was far more enjoyable that seeing htem in a zoo! The Lodge in the rainforest was also an unexpected treasure.
Touring the Sacred Valley,touring the farm and eating lunch, and feeding their young alpaca, at the Hacienda was very memorable. The accomodations at the Hacienda Hotel were also fabulous.
The one day hike to Machu Picchu and our first glimpse of this arecheological wonder from the Sun gate was inspiring. Touring the site with our very knowledgable guide was facinating. The hike up Machu Picchu peak provided very memorable views and an amount of panting on the hike to the peak that will not be soon forgotten
Touring Cusco was very interesting and dinner at the restaurant was great.
Our gastronomic tour of Lima was another highlight. Our family thoroughly enjoyed preparing our own ceviche and Pisco sours.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

We might have added one day to the trip to extend our stay in the Amazon by one day as we only had one (very full) day at this location. We did not realize that the boat departure from the rainforest hotel was scheduled for 8AM on our departure day.
We would NOT have dinner at the hotel in Aguas Calientes. The service was terrible and food was mediocre at best. (Of course it didn't help that we ate there while Peru & Chile were playing their semi-final game world cup soccer match.
We would start our vaccinations for this point of travel earlier than we did.
