Vietnam Vacation Review: Ho Chi Minh, Mai Chau, Phu Quoc, Vespa Food Tour, Beaches, Hiking, Local Culture

We had a fabulous trip in Vietnam. I would recommend this travel company and they were very responsive and reliable. The itinerary was excellent and I think we had a great overview of Vietnam. There were a couple of things I thought could be improved on. The guides were not all equal. Some were excellent but others seemed to just be doing their job and were not very talkative. I also did not like that they took us to restaurants with set meals for tourists as we did not need so much food and would have preferred to choose from the menu ourselves. There was always plenty to eat though! I also don't like being taken to tourist shops under the pretext that the driver needs a break. It is a waste of our time and clearly the guide is wanting his cut of our sales. I don't want to give the wrong impression. These are minor points in what was generally a wonderful vacation and I would personally use this company again but would specify in advance which things I wanted done differently.
